about

Smooth, indie, noir, jazzy...how many reasons do you need to take a look?!?

|| RockIt

|| SentireAscoltare

Track Name: Ten Days Of Evil Thoughts
Music & Lyrics by Reflue

Tiny little loser, that's what you are.
Tossin' and turning apart.
A walk unafraid: it's just a dream now.
That's right before my eyes,
and makes me learn...
that I've been burned.

Dancing on the sleeves, well it feels great.
Confusion softly blows inside my head.
In West Virginia a loneley hero dies.
I can't believe my eyes
Don’t wanna know
That he's gone.

Politicians yell from the stage
Surrender to the chaos, well that's their way...

Darkness is friendly,  anger's a lonsome child.
That's right before my eyes,
and it makes me learn...
that we've been burned.
Track Name: Mr. Darling's Last Act
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Alex Jones

Wendy's not a little girl still

When she was asleep at the window sill

You found a map on your (clean) white shirt

And you knew the place Mr. Darling.
It was a sign but you were not alert.
Last chase, last chance departing.

Now standing in the cool dawn light
and all is quiet.
Look to the sky if you might
you could remember if you try it.

Disenchanted is a term
A pilar of certainty (has) become infirm.

You can never remember what you learned
before the child's world was burned.

For an instant so tantalizing
What was lost was reprising.

But what will it be?  (What will it be?)
A new beginning or a mere memory?

Mr. Darling it's your last act.
When fiction flies away with fact.
Track Name: Universal You
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Alex Jones

Could you please explain
Why the world’s gone grey
The sky’s been fading all day
But if you smile like a bandit
Guess I could handle all these manics

Please explain
What we are doing in this place
Sometimes it seems insane
To be right

Could you please explain
You’ve always had that way
Of knowing what I’d say
And you’re right.

Wil we ever know
How to be alone
Together is the cure
Try to love some more

What about the days
When you thought you were alone
Your shadow weighed a tone

Silence kills before
Words can be formed
Laughing little boy
All the freaks were bored
Your shadow weighs a tone
And the wait just flows
The time was undone

Could you please explain
Please explain...
Why The sky's gone grey
Please explain..
Words get in The way
Please explain
But The night become day
Please explain
Universal you.
Track Name: Old Hat
Music by Reflue & Max Scaccaglia/Lyrics by Alex Jones

Ten years in this town
and you still got that same old hat.
I remember when it was new.
Seems like someone else's life.
We all change: that's life, too.
But not you.
You and your old hat.

Remember when this city
put a sparkle in your eyes?
When every alley, every bar
promised some strange voodoo?
Do you still look up at the towers?
Do you still marvel at the fog?
Are you still drinking in that hole in the wall?
You and your old hat?

I never met that girl
the one who died when the bush crashed
But somehow she stayed with  me.
The same with that bartender.
He's gone too.
I never met him
But when you told me how he used to smile,
it was like I knew.

Ten years in this town.
Nothing's new, it's all old hat.
But just let someone surprise you.
Pretend it's someone else's life.
The bells are ringing for you.
Ringing for you.
You and your old hat.
Track Name: Cruising Attitude
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Alex Jones

Listen here
Got a question for you:
How long's it take
to fly this thing to the moon?

It's just a story, right?
All the folks who died
on a September flight.

...We'll be praying.

Screens are bright.
They dull the question.
We should be praying.

It's not real, right?
All those folks who died
on a September flight?

Sing me a song that I don't know,
...call it a blessing.

Think of those you'll never know,
...is this my blessing?

Remember those you used to know,
...can't call it a blessing.

Think of the ones you'll never know,
...what the hell is missing?

I thought of you tonight.
Just another long flight.
Please think of me tonight.

Think of me tonight.
If this thing goes down, alright?
Think of me tonight.
Track Name: Do You Remember ?
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Alex Jones

"It's gonna be a big day," he said.
And then he said:
"Every day is a big day."
"We're free," he said.
"Every day is a little poem to me."

I laughed into my beer.
"Where, oh where, man?" I said.
"Man where do you come up with this wierd shit?"

But believing is half the thing, I guess.
And then he left me, halfway, I guess.
Said good-bye, more or less.
Walked out into the sweet liquid heat
of that August night.

Funny how you can't forget.
It's so strange how you keep them alive.
Like the old gods and their clay figurines.
That's us and those things we can't forget.

I wrote him a few years later.
Set it all down on paper.
"It's gonna be a big day.
Do you remember?
Every day is a big day.
Do you remember?"

He called me around Halloween
A month or two gone inbetween.
"It wasn't me," he said.
"I don't remember," he said.
"I don't remember We are free, I don't remember poetry."
"It wasn't me, It wasn't me, It wasn't me."

Track Name: So What
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Michele Zilioli & Federico Del Santo

Tryin’ hard to comfort me
Tryin’ to take myself seriously
The weakning of the vibes
The blurring of my eyes

Here is something pure and free
To multiply my tragedy
If God gave us his life
I’m not givin’ away mine

Totally embrace with something great
So what
This Boring machine’s here for you to break
So what
Yes I made my little dare
..My little child

And should I find poetry
In other people’s misery
Well God make us a surprise
Put some salt in our eyes

Totally embrace with something great
So what
This boring machine’s here for you to break
So what
Yes I made my little dare
..My little child
Track Name: Frozen Ember
Music by Reflue/Lyrics by Alex Jones

You seemed to meet my eye
...was it coincidence?

Sometimes a flame of thought
...must turn to stone.

Jade is on the other side
...oh, I know.

The only ending you can find
...you'll find alone.

There never was a better man.
That's all.

If you find that number again,
don't call.

There's frost in the humid air.
Oh, I know.

How I wish it was...
Wish it wasn't so.

Would you bring a touch of winter
in Summer?

The coldest ember... of Summer?

Or would you bring...
the sun?

What would you bring?

It's hot down here.
It's hot donw here.
Track Name: What Clues Have You Found ?
Music by Reflue & Max Scaccaglia/Lyrics by Alex Jones

I MADE A CALCULATION.
DIVIDED UP MY TIME.
A KIND OF INVESTIGATION
TO FIND THE BOTTOM LINE.

THE CALENDAR'S DISDAINFUL
OF OUR PHILOSOPHY
THE MONTHS DANCE A TANGO.
WE SIT IN REVERIE.

THE PEN, THE PICK CAN'T STOP THIS
AT LEAST CAN SLOW IT DOWN.
JUST DON'T COUNT THE MINUTES
THEY'RE NOT COMING BACK AROUND.
